Across the ocean – mixed media installation in Munich, Germany

“Across the ocean” – my latest installation with parts / elements from “Asia Bistro” and “Made in Rice”. I created this installation while thinking about letters my aunt sent home, after she came to GDR as a contract worker. I still recall how she told me to be aware of messaging and phone calls. I didn’t understand at that time. Later, I realized how strictly it was with communication for the Vietnamese contract workers.

The installation is part of my duo show with Leo Heinik and currently hold at Florida Lothringer 13, Munich.

My warmest thanks to Leo and FLORIDA Lothringer 13 Team for helping me with the installation – to Clara Laila Abid, Josh and Mako
