I am excited to announce that I will be giving a talk at Deichtorhallen Hamburg on May 22, 2024, at 18:30. In this session, I will delve into my projects “Scent from Heaven” and “Garden of Entanglement,” which explore the intersection of art and science.
Scent from Heaven
“Scent from Heaven” examines the life and transformation of Agarwood. Utilizing CT scanning, EEG, Geosonic Recording and performance, I reveal the internal decay and the resulting aromatic emergence, highlighting the relationship between pain, beauty and destruction. This project, manifesting in multi-presentational formats spanning from VR to Treescape installation, invites reflection on the environmental and ethical impacts of human consumption.

Garden of Entanglement
In “Garden of Entanglement,” I use the Tree Dynamics Sensing and Laser Scanning Technology and to explore the vibration and the perception of trees under exposure to human movement and activity. By creating immersive environments, participants can experience the sensory states of trees, fostering a deeper connection between humans and nature, and moreover to understand how our action can be remembered by the nature.

I look forward to sharing my methodologies and the philosophical themes of my work. This talk will provide insight into how scientific methods can enhance artistic expression, offering a unique perspective on ecological and existential themes.
